I created this movie poster parody of the movie LUCY for our short film presentation in the office. I changed the movie title according to my officemate's name (Heezen) to customize it more. Too bad there wasn't any award for the movie poster making, if there was, we stand a great chance at winning (I hope) hehe.

Special thanks to the very supportive Papabear, we love you Daddy! :*

Recently, I updated my profile picture in my Blogger profile so that I could update the About Me picture on my blog. But sadly, the image was blurry. I tried using the image link on my Facebook account but it didn't work.

Thus, I revisited the image link on my previous Blogger profile picture and compared it to the new one.

Old Profile Picture Link:

I then noticed the code: s1600 in the old link and the code: s113 in the new. (I highlighted it above so you could easily see it.)

Being in the field of Computer Science (naks hehe) I used the Trial and Error method. I changed the code s113 to s1600 ... and tadaaah! IT WORKED!!!

Hope this helps!

My DIY birthday invite for my Fritziebear. <3 :)

I'm fond of eating the usual siopao, the one that is white in color and soft in texture with a savory treat inside. I was excited in trying out its toasted variant since it came out. However, the ones that I've tried were not that flavorful and I find its bread to thick and hard (at times).

One afternoon, my husband and I were buying pizza near our place and beside it is Balai Pandesal. As we all know, cooking a pizza takes quite some time, so we decided to eat something else first from Balai Pandesal. Out of my curiosity, I chose to try their toasted siopao, since it's smaller than the regular size of a usual toasted siopao. I thought that it might tastes different, and I was right indeed!

It was the best tasting toasted siopao that I have ever tried so far. I liked how its bread is not too thick and hard at all, plus its savory filling. I personally liked its Bola-bola variant than their Asado ones. It costs around 9 pesos each at that time.

Aside from their toasted siopao, Balai Pandesal also offers other variants like (of course) pandesal, cold beverages (juice, softdrinks, bottled water), spreads (tons of choices), pizza (yes, they cater that too), mamon, egg pies, loaves of bread, and a whole lot of bread varieties.

(There wasn't a lot here from the photo above, because this was taken early in the morning, our second visit.)

On our second visit there, I was a bit disappointed because the Bola-bola that I ordered didn't have salted egg in it, unlike the first ones that I've tried.

I have been using the Strip It Surgar (cold) wax for quite some time when I noticed a friend of mine's post of Facebook regarding with the wax that she's currently using. I got curious about it since she highly commends it. So I asked her what's the product she's using, then she showed me the Facebook page where she got it.

Upon watching its tutorial video on how to use it, I was so amazed and it got me more intrigued about it. Because in the video, you don't need to use a spatula and a strip/cloth in removing the unwanted hairs. All you need to do is to get some of the cold wax onto your bare hands, knead it, spread it on the surface of your skin with the unwanted hairs, then pull. Easy, peasy right? So I said to myself that I'm going to buy that right after I finish my then cold wax.

And so, the day came where I have to buy a new cold wax. I immediately went to Absolute Essential's instagram page and got myself an Aloe Vera Cold Wax. There were a lot to choose from actually. Like the Chocolate Cold Wax, Honey Cold Wax, Candy Wax, and Marshmallow Wax. I opted to choose the Aloe Vera one since I know for a fact that Aloe V. is good for the skin.

It was sealed with a plastic.

Here's what its content looks like:

It's appearance is very much the same with my previous cold wax from Strip It but this one's much thicker and stickier in consistency.

I was having a hard time using it on my own that's why I asked my husband to do it for me instead. At first, he too, had a hard time on using it. But after a few tries, he got the hang of it.

On my first use, I noticed, felt rather, that this hurts more than the cold wax that needs the use of strips. Then after several times, it still hurts. :(

Nonetheless, it still does its job in removing unwanted hairs. However, sometimes I still need to pluck out some of the hairs that is left by it.

Will I repurchase? -No. I'm thinking of going back to Strip It Sugar wax.

Nowadays, sporting a matte lipstick is a trend. As a result, a lot of makeup brands have come up with their own versions or lines of matte lipsticks.

I've been meaning to try a matte lipstick but I was skeptical about it 'coz of my dry and chapped lips. I'm worried that it would worsen what my lips looked like if I wore one. Then I came across with Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm.

I got the one in the shade of Standout #250.

The Color: Standout is a deep red berry with a slight brown undertone. Its color is as great as its consistency, and very pigmented too. This shade also makes your teeth appear whiter.

The Formula: Has a balm feel and a velvety finish.  It has a vibrant color infused with a Triple Butter Complex (of shea, mango, and coconut butter) that gives you a bold, moisturized, and beautiful lips. You would also notice the minty sensation when you apply it.It glides smoothly and sits comfortable on the lips; no drying out, unlike other matte lipsticks.

The Wear: Lasts for a good few hours. However, if you're eating or drinking, you might want to check on it if there's a need for re-applying. I liked the fact that it doesn't affect the taste of the food or drink that you're eating unlike other lipsticks. (transfers; doesn't bleed out around the lips but smudges a little)

The Packaging: Encased in a chubby little pencil form with a twist-up style (retractable) packaging. No need to sharpen it and because of its retractable feature, no product goes to waste.

The Verdict: I highly recommend this lip product line, especially for those who love to wear matte lippies and don't want to have chalky or dry looking lips. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are priced at P575.00 each, and comes in 8 shades.
