The vibrant startup scene in the country has encouraged more and more young entrepreneurs to venture into the world of business, risking the stability of corporate jobs for time freedom that entrepreneurship forebodes. Fortunately, access to capital and resources to start a business has never been easier, all thanks to the support of private venture capital groups and angel investors, business accelerators, and select government institutions. Mentorship opportunities are also very much abundant and readily available for young business owners to draw advantages from. In addition, corporations big and small alike are even more bullish in investing in tech and introducing innovative solutions to improve their business processes and capacity.

With a tech scene as energetic as ours here in the Philippines, one can say that business conferences that convene startups, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, corporate groups, and investors that have technology as focus are long overdue.

Having this in mind, PMCM Events Management leads the staging of TECHtonic 2017: Manila Tech Convention with theme, “Culture for the Future.” TECHtonic takes aim to be the country’s largest startup conference, inviting international startup groups and investors from all over the world in one big event that highlights new technologies and innovation in the space.

Startups that qualify to join are given the chance to pitch their business ideas to a group of renowned local and international investors in a pitching competition headlined as “Startup Arena.” Winning startups get to take home a guaranteed prize money and the opportunity to be mentored by the biggest names in the tech startup scene. Investors and corporate executives shall be treated to a private networking lunch and dinner hosted by the event organizers.

The event will also feature exhibits and activities from corporate partners and sponsors, talks and panels from key people in the tech startup scene, and – where the real fun is – an after-party city tour and pub crawl. Truly, this event is one that cannot be missed, especially for tech aficionados.

TECHtonic 2017: Manila Tech Convention takes place on July 29-30, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. For more information, visit TECHTonic’s website: www.techtonic.ph

Hi! Today I am going to share with you a small K-beauty haul that I got from a seller in TMUR (The MakeUp Revolution) group in Facebook, Ms. Jozel Dumlao, who has a Shopee account from which I got all of these products, its name is vanilla21She's very accommodating and kind in answering queries, and even though there were some slips on the payment (I've deposited to a different account, etc.), we've managed to work things out. :)

First of, I got 16 Ultra Hydrating Masks from the Korean brand, Shelim for the affordable amount of Php 14.00 each! (Please refer to the photo above as I forgot to take a separate picture of it)

The variants that I got were 2 of the following: Vitamin, Pearl, Royal Jelly, Coconut, Snail, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Aloe. So far, I'm loving their smell, because most of them really smelled like the real thing, especially the blueberry and coconut. And I'm really satisfied with its quality since each sheet is durable and rich in essence, considering its affordable price.

Next, is Innisfree's No Sebum Mineral Powder. I've been meaning to buy this one from another online store however, I find it too pricey (Php 500.00). Good thing Ms. Jozel also sells this for a much reasonable price (Php 250.00). I was a bit surprised of its size though. It's much smaller than what I imagined it to be.

It's encased in a pastel green compact container with a soft puff. The powder smells good too, like a mild herbal powdery scent. It's translucent and doesn't leave a white cast in photos. It controls oil but it doesn't completely prevent your face from oiling up.

I mainly use this as a setting powder once I'm done putting my foundation on. And recently, I found out that this can also be used as an oil control paper, eye primer, and a dry shampoo. Wow! Talk about being handy.

The last thing that I got was the Skinfood Fresh Fruit Lip and Cheek Trio in the shade #6 Plum for Php 345.00. I bought this because it's perfect to bring for travels since it's compact and you can use it on your lips and cheeks.

Swatches.

It's very pigmented and wearable as a blush and lip tint. The tints were also blendable and stays on even when it comes in contact with water. So if you're looking for a good lip and cheek product, this one's for you!

It's really nice of Ms. Jozel to include sample sizes of SKIN FOOD's Premium Lettuce and Cucumber Water Emulsion and Toner as freebies too. Thank you!

Recently, Travelbook.ph together with LazerXtreme organized an event entitled, "You've Been Tagged: TravelBook.ph x LazerXtreme Blogger Event". It was held last March 26, 2017 at Market! Market! mall in Taguig City.

As part of TravelBook.ph’s goal to establish stronger relationships with both affiliated and non-affiliated bloggers, the event started with an icebreaker where attendees had the chance to know each other by introducing themselves and the blogs they represent.

It was then followed by a series of short talks from Mr. Jude Aniñon, LazerXtreme Branch Manager, about LazerXtreme; Ms. Pinky Librada, Officer-in-Charge of TravelBook.ph’s Business Development Team, about TravelBook.ph; and Ms. Pia Bernaldo, TravelBook.ph’s Business Development Officer, who encouraged bloggers to join the company’s affiliate program by presenting its benefits such as a high commission rate, free getaway trips, exciting events, and many more.

Attendees were divided into four teams—Blue, Red, Green, and Yellow—for the laser tag. In order to win, a team must get the highest score as they shoot their opponents with a laser gun within the game platform. Each body part corresponds with a certain score, and the opponent’s laser deactivates for three (3) seconds every time they are hit. Players can also score extra points every time they shoot enemy bases.

At the end of the game, Blue Team won, which is composed of Nikko Madrilejo, Bedalyn Aguas (represented by her son during the game), Bae Milanes, Mikhail Rollan, and Facebook Photo Contest winner Ron Paolo Luna.

The winners took home LazerXtreme umbrellas and TravelBook Affiliate Program merchandise items.

This event is a collaborative effort of TravelBook.ph and LazerXtreme to provide quality leisure services to the Filipino market.

From time to time I receive a lot of notifications from a beauty group I'm in, and from there, I saw these babies and got them for a very cheap price! You see, I'm always on a hunt for bargain. So before I buy, I make sure to look at its price in different stores/sellers, and get which has the most reasonable price for its quality.

I got a notification for beauty items being sold in TMUR (The MakeUp Revolution), and saw these. I got in touch with its seller, Ms. April Cheng, the owner of Keyzi Online Shop, and ordered. The transaction was smooth as I received it only after 4 (working) days.

11/18/2016 (Friday) - ordered & paid
11/19/2016 (Saturday) - shipped
11/21/2016 (Monday) - out for delivery (I was supposed to receive it already but the courier got a bit lost)
11//23/2016 - order received

*Kudos to Ms. April for being always responsive to my queries and follow-ups :)

*Hair Velcro (2 packs): P 20.00
  Brushegg: P 50.00
  Shipping Fee: P40.00

  Total: P 110.00

*1 pack contains 2 hair velcros

When worn/in use:

Brushegg:

It looks like half of an egg, hence the name "brushegg". Its name "brushegg" is neatly embossed on the back of its body. It has small rounded silicone knobs on top and silicone ribs on most of its parts. The small knobs are ideal for cleaning small brushes (eyeshadow brush, etc.). While the ribbed part is for bigger brushes. However, I find it too small for cleaning bigger brushes (powder brush, blush brush, etc.)

How to use: Put two fingers in the brushegg's hole. Drizzle it with water (as well as the brush). Put some cleansing solution (brush soap/shampoo) on the wet brush. Move the brush in circular motion (or up and down) on the brushegg. Wash the brush and brushegg with water.

*Repeat the process if more cleansing is required.

Verdict: It's compact, easy to clean and use, affordable, and effective (despite having a small space/area for cleaning big brushes).

Rating: 4 out of 5

Hair Velcro:

It's a hair pad made out of velcro-like material designed to keep your hair out of your face. It holds your hair in place in lieu of a regular hair clip. It is used to part fringes or small/thin strands of hair that falls on your forehead/face. You can use it when washing your face, and applying face masks and makeup. You can also use this to tame unruly and frizzy hair strands when styling.

How to use: Comb it gently on the position you want your hair to fall on to.

Verdict: It's lightweight, versatile and gentle on the hair. It won’t cause abrasions to your scalp or add unnecessary weight to your hair like what conventional hair pins, clips, and headbands do. It can hold up your fringe without messing up your hairstyle.

Rating: 5 out of 5
