RAM 'N GO: Japinoy Streetstyle Ramen On the Go!

Japanese Restaurants that serves Ramen and other Japanese favorites are quite a hit nowadays. Good news to those who lives in Mandaluyong and Makati, as Ram 'N Go, a Japinoy Street-style Ramen shop emerged there. Not only that they serve flavorful Japanese delicacies, they also offer them at an affordable price!

Ram 'N Go's owner, is a foodie herself, who loves re-creating her favorite dishes. Her love for food then brought her to venture in a Japanese-Pinoy inspired Ramen kiosk, where they serve Japanese favorites for those people who wants to have a quick snack. Hence, the name Ram 'N Go (Ramen to go) was coined, which also refers to the owner's last name, Go (Ramen + Go).

Fun Fact: The chibi characters on their logo is actually inspired by the owner's two adorable kids. :)

Ram 'N Go currently has two locations. One in 93B San Rafael Street, Brgy. Plainview, Mandaluyong City (at Pik-A Pik-A Kart, where 8 Tables Chinese Cuisine is formerly located), and the other one in G/F, The Atrium Makati, Makati Avenue, Makati City (across Ayala Triangle and just beside Zuellig Building).

Now let's dive in to the most awaited part, Ramen and more!

Ramen

Ram 'N Go offers 3 variety of ramens: Classic, Mayu, and Karai, with two sizes to choose from, large and regular bowl.

The Classic Ramen has the Shoyu Tonkotsu broth (soy sauce and pork-bone based broth) with egg, leeks, seaweeds, slice of pork, naruto, sesame seed, and sesame oil. This is perfect for those who prefers a light flavor of broth in their ramen.

The Mayu Ramen (Shoyu Tonkotsu + black garlic oil based broth) is somewhat the same with the Classic Ramen, with an added Roasted Garlic oil. This is the first time that I have come across this type of ramen. Too bad that I wasn't able to taste it as I've opted to have their Karai and Classic Ramen. Although, I've heard from Danica of www.diamondintheroughblog.com, that it was good. :) (Regular: P90.00 | Large: P155.00)

The Karai Ramen is the spicy version of their Shoyu Ramen, with Chili oil and Chili paste added. People who enjoy spicy food will love this one. I personally prefer this over the Classic Ramen, as it just has the right level of spiciness, and is not overpowering the flavor of the ramen itself. But if you're really that adventurous when it comes to spicy food, fret not as you can actually request to increase the level of spiciness to your liking. ;)

Wagyu Cubes & Yakitoris

My other favorites on the set of food they prepared for us were the Wagyu Cubes and Yakitoris. I loooove Wagyu Cubes, and theirs won't disappoint! I tried a few joints who sells Wagyu Cubes and only liked one in particular, but Ram 'N Go's Wagyu Cubes would give them a run for their money. The flavor will burst in your mouth with every bite of its tender goodness!

Their bite-sized pieces of chicken skewered were promising too! It's cooked in a way that the tasty juices of the chicken were retained, thereof gives you the maximum taste and creates an enticing smell. They usually serve it with a sauce, but the meat itself is actually already tasty on its own.

Shrimp Tempura & Gyoza

Ram 'N Go also offers other traditional Japanese dishes like Shrimp Tempura, a dish of battered and fried shrimp, and Gyoza, the half moon-shaped dumplings with flavoursome pork and vegetable filling (can be cooked fried or steamed).

Takoyaki

Labeled as the Japinoy version of Takoyaki, Ram 'N Go's Takoyaki is filled with octopus, dried shrimp, kani and cabbage.

To top all of these, they are also catering to bulk orders of some of their menu items, with their Party Platters.

So the next time you crave for some Japanese food, Ram 'N Go is definitely the place to GO! Big Thanks to Ms. Lori Go for having us! :)
