Justice. League. Nuff Said

With “No Kryptonians” and “No Lanterns”, will you let this world fall? Or will you Join the League?

Before the most anticipated movie hit the theaters, Pacific Licensing Studio, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and SM Supermalls, launched DC’s greatest super heroes, Justice League, last October 14, 2017 at The Block SM City North EDSA.

Aside from Superman and Batman, the launch presented the league’s other stalwart members such as: Wonder Woman,  the Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman.

The organizers also introduced the Justice League app where we can download and interact with various activities prepared by the event’s partner stores and establishments. They also announced the upcoming Justice League Fun Run to be held in Cebu and Manila on November 19, 2017 and November 25, 2017 respectively

At the event, Penshoppe rocked the runway with its new and limited Justice League collection while SM’s Boys Teen’s Wear featured the latest JL’s sleek fashion styles.

Collectors’ expo and retail outlets (New Era, SilverWorks, etc.) sizzled the crowd while a great deal of JL premium merchandise are up for grabs for all mall goers.

Cosplayers impressed the audience with their portrayal of the JL superheroes and they also held a photo op session with the fans.

Finally, Pacific Licensing Studio, unveiled the league’s life like cast figures, wherein fans, shoppers, participants and virtually everyone in the event can get their pictures taken with the six superhero statues and share the JL experience in their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts with the hashtag: #JOINTHELEAGUE

Justice League will also go around the metro starting at SM Southmall on Nov. 2-10, SM Mall of Asia on Nov. 13-19, SM Bicutan on Nov. 22-29, and SM Clark and Pampanga on Dec. 2-10.

Apart from the launch, the organizers prepared fun games for the attendees, such as Bring Me and Pop Quiz in connection with the JL movie. Winners were given loot bags containing JL merchandise and other items from the event sponsors. I, myself have gotten a loot bag as a consolation prize in participating in the Pop Quiz activity. They also held raffle draws for those who bought items in the participating booths.

Big thanks to the event organizers for arranging a successful and engaging event. Don't forget to catch the league on your favorite theaters on Nov.17.

Nailaholics recently celebrated the #NationalPamperingDay by treating everyone with a free pampering service in all of their branches nationwide. A thoughtful gesture from the whole Nailaholics team encouraging us to take that well-deserved break.

Aside from the quality of their service and quaint Hamptons-themed interior, that I like most is the way their staffs treat you. They are very friendly and professional. They always greeted their customers politely upon entering. And they always ask if you're feeling any pain during your chosen session.

Yesterday, before heading to work, I visited them in their Market Market branch to experience their free manicure service for the #NationalPamperingDay. I like how they worked fast (with no pain) and my nails looked so clean and polished afterwards. I was a bit in a hurry that day that I chipped my nail polish twice, but they were very kind to fix it.

Apart from the free service they're offering on that day, they are also giving support to World Vision, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), and Save Philippine Seas for every service that they did. They asked every participants at the beginning of their treatment to which cause would they like to support. (I chose Save Philippine Seas because I want to support them in their mission to protect our marine and coastal resources.)

Tired from all the errands and trips you made over the weekend (or make that a week)? Fret not! Because tomorrow, October 17, 2017 is #NationalPamperingDay, and Nailaholics got you covered! You can get a soothing manicure, calming foot spa or a relaxing foot massage for FREE. Yes, you read it right, they are offering it for free as a way to give hardworking people (like us ;) ) a break from all the stress.

I have personally tried their service last Sunday at their SM Megamall branch and it was a superb experience. I had their Silent Tide package (Pedicure + Foot Spa & Foot Massage) and it was splendid. The atmosphere in there is truly relaxing. Their staffs were very warm and polite too. Even though I came in an hour before closing time, they still greeted me warmly, and never did I notice that Ate Grace is rushing with my pedi. She didn’t make me feel that giving me a foot massage is a strain either. Her aura is relaxing too, that it'll make you feel even more comfortable. Will definitely go back for another pampering session soon.

Want the same experience too? Visit them in their branch near you tomorrow, October 17, 2017, from 10AM to 1PM, and enjoy a FREE manicure, foot spa, or foot massage.

For many of us, self-care is not as easy as it is. Especially now that we live fast-paced lives and our jobs give off a lot of pressure. Entrepreneurs, business executives, and professionals alike juggle work commitments with their responsibilities in order to provide for their families. With situations like this, it’s the head of the family or provider’s well-being that is being sacrificed. Having not enough time to develop a fitness program, or stick to a nutritious diet. As a result, they become overweight and their skin becomes vulnerable to the effects of pollution and stress.

This demanding regimen is the reason why SvelTi’s highly trained team of clinical specialists take the time to sit down with each patient, and learn their medical history and lifestyle, in order to prescribe them an individual program that fits their needs which can help them reach their health and beauty goals.

As expected, many of the patients consult the Centre for them to look great and become more physically fit. According to Dr. Salazar, a first couple of sessions of their prescribed program does show visible results, such as a loss of one to two inches from a once bulging waistline, a reduction of five pounds from one’s weight without having to run a treadmill, and the elimination of pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles that had been festering on the face for months.

Dr. Salazar does recommend the patient to continue with the program and balance it with a healthy lifestyle such as exercising daily and having a nutritious diet. “That’s how they can sustain the first results,” she advises.

“Attaining your desired physique, weight, and smoothness of skin is not a one-time thing, and will take commitment on their part. What’s encouraging about our treatments is that the patient is encouraged by the result and does the follow-up sessions. They come here happy and enthused, and not dragging their feet, because they know they will be healthier and look more attractive after the session.”

Dr. Salazar pauses then adds, “Unlike that old health slogan they used to throw at us, I believe that there can be gain even without pain. And it all starts with a firm decision to love yourself and fulfill your own self-care program.”

Good news to those who want to try SvelTi’s unique and effective approach! You can avail of the various PROMOS that they are offering this SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY MONTH of September. The vibrant startup scene in the country has encouraged more and more young entrepreneurs to venture into the world of business, risking the stability of corporate jobs for time freedom that entrepreneurship forebodes. Fortunately, access to capital and resources to start a business has never been easier, all thanks to the support of private venture capital groups and angel investors, business accelerators, and select government institutions. Mentorship opportunities are also very much abundant and readily available for young business owners to draw advantages from. In addition, corporations big and small alike are even more bullish in investing in tech and introducing innovative solutions to improve their business processes and capacity.

With a tech scene as energetic as ours here in the Philippines, one can say that business conferences that convene startups, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, corporate groups, and investors that have technology as focus are long overdue.

Having this in mind, PMCM Events Management leads the staging of TECHtonic 2017: Manila Tech Convention with theme, “Culture for the Future.” TECHtonic takes aim to be the country’s largest startup conference, inviting international startup groups and investors from all over the world in one big event that highlights new technologies and innovation in the space.

Startups that qualify to join are given the chance to pitch their business ideas to a group of renowned local and international investors in a pitching competition headlined as “Startup Arena.” Winning startups get to take home a guaranteed prize money and the opportunity to be mentored by the biggest names in the tech startup scene. Investors and corporate executives shall be treated to a private networking lunch and dinner hosted by the event organizers.

The event will also feature exhibits and activities from corporate partners and sponsors, talks and panels from key people in the tech startup scene, and – where the real fun is – an after-party city tour and pub crawl. Truly, this event is one that cannot be missed, especially for tech aficionados.

TECHtonic 2017: Manila Tech Convention takes place on July 29-30, 2017 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. For more information, visit TECHTonic’s website: www.techtonic.ph

Hi! Today I am going to share with you a small K-beauty haul that I got from a seller in TMUR (The MakeUp Revolution) group in Facebook, Ms. Jozel Dumlao, who has a Shopee account from which I got all of these products, its name is vanilla21. She's very accommodating and kind in answering queries, and even though there were some slips on the payment (I've deposited to a different account, etc.), we've managed to work things out. :)

First of, I got 16 Ultra Hydrating Masks from the Korean brand, Shelim for the affordable amount of Php 14.00 each! (Please refer to the photo above as I forgot to take a separate picture of it)

The variants that I got were 2 of the following: Vitamin, Pearl, Royal Jelly, Coconut, Snail, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Aloe. So far, I'm loving their smell, because most of them really smelled like the real thing, especially the blueberry and coconut. And I'm really satisfied with its quality since each sheet is durable and rich in essence, considering its affordable price.

Next, is Innisfree's No Sebum Mineral Powder. I've been meaning to buy this one from another online store however, I find it too pricey (Php 500.00). Good thing Ms. Jozel also sells this for a much reasonable price (Php 250.00). I was a bit surprised of its size though. It's much smaller than what I imagined it to be.

It's encased in a pastel green compact container with a soft puff. The powder smells good too, like a mild herbal powdery scent. It's translucent and doesn't leave a white cast in photos. It controls oil but it doesn't completely prevent your face from oiling up.

I mainly use this as a setting powder once I'm done putting my foundation on. And recently, I found out that this can also be used as an oil control paper, eye primer, and a dry shampoo. Wow! Talk about being handy.

The last thing that I got was the Skinfood Fresh Fruit Lip and Cheek Trio in the shade #6 Plum for Php 345.00. I bought this because it's perfect to bring for travels since it's compact and you can use it on your lips and cheeks.

Swatches.

It's very pigmented and wearable as a blush and lip tint. The tints were also blendable and stays on even when it comes in contact with water. So if you're looking for a good lip and cheek product, this one's for you!

It's really nice of Ms. Jozel to include sample sizes of SKIN FOOD's Premium Lettuce and Cucumber Water Emulsion and Toner as freebies too. Thank you!
